Choose quick-drying clothing that allows comfortable movement. Avoid heavy denim and loose accessories that can become inconvenient when wet. Secure footwear is preferable to open, slippery sandals.
Bring drinking water, sunscreen, a cap, a small towel and a change of clothes. Keep phones and valuables in a waterproof pouch, or leave them securely on shore when advised.
Safety equipment should fit correctly and remain fastened while you are on or near the water. Tell the operator about any medical concern before the briefing begins.
